This app allows you to add metadata to assets based on the name of the asset.
For example, if the name is Cotton_Red_diffuse, the app can split that up into multiple metadata keys as follows:
By default, the separation is based on underscores, but this can be changed from the UI to use a different separator.
Type in the TAG to search for, and click on Load Assets below to load the assets tagged for this purpose. The app will automatically populate the UI with the appropriate number of metadata fields based on the name of the first asset in the list. Please ensure that you only tag a similar group at a time, that is meant to receive the same schema.
If some of the assets do not match the schema of the first found asset, they will be skipped during the update process.
You can adjust the groupings by clicking on the separator buttons in the example field, to toggle between separation "-" and grouping "&".
Upon the completion of the task, the app will remove the chosen tag from the successfully processed assets. The assets with errors will retain the tag.
Applying the metadata will keep other existing metadata fields on the selected assets that have a different name from the ones being added. Those with the same name will be replaced.
Only the first 100 found assets will be processed. To process additional assets simply click the
Load Assets button again to load the remainder, and re-apply the settings.
You can save all your settings in templates stored in your org, and reuse them at a later time. The templates are stored in a special data table, which gets created automatically when you first run the app.
